Well this was the one and only one we ever made and not a total success, As we looked at some pictures of ones already in production and missed the fact that some had internal gearing so the jaws moved in unison, We ended up with a parallelogram effect going on but was not a total failure but did need some nifty work on the control levers this one was fitted to a 245 cat long reach machine and was one of the first in the uk approx 70 tonne machine i can not remember the exact model but i do remember that it was a cat 245 bottom end tracks and track frames , With hindsight it would of been fairly easy to flame cut some type of rough gear system in it, but have drawn as we made it

This view is with it rotated at 90 degrees to the usual operating position and was achieved by tapping it a gainst the building and was very successful , It was a huge saving on motorizing the unit and the need for extra hydraulic circuits and controls etc and motors this view would be prior to fitting the hydraulic operating cylinder oil flow was passed through a rotator fitted in the middle so full 360 degree could be achieved "continuous"
